A total of 94 horses took entry for the Arima Race Club’s Day 33 nine racecard at Santa Rosa Park on Saturday. The feature event will be the sixth race on the programme for Imported two year olds Maidens and West Indian bred three year olds and over horses rated 75-50. They will be going over a distance of 1,350 metres on the main track.
The Harriram Gobin trained Canfield Casino will be a very short-priced favourite to get off the mark on the third attempt. Champion trainer John O’Brien has two engaged in the speedy Hyat Princess and the consistent Gold Rush. Trainer Shaffique Khan and Sharon Ferreira will introduce newcomers in Potiphar’s Wife and Lucky Joe.
